We offer developmental support aimed at reducing risk and impact of substance abuse. We aim to equip communities with adequate information that empowers better practices towards prevention and support.
At Project Kurarama, we view substance abuse as a condition of life shaped by various socio-cultural and trauma-related factors. We understand that these factors create a complex environment where substance abuse can develop, grow and thrive unpredictably. We believe that prevention, reducing stigma, and providing proper support begin with knowledge, and that society must ensure access to this knowledge.
“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love”. (1 Peter 1:5-7)
